This was found on a newer home during a one year warranty inspection. Just because a home is newer doesn't mean there won't be defects. This is a prime example. It may be a little hard to see, but the black feed line to the sub panel is stranded aluminum and about 4 of the strands are broken. The others were nicked when the electrician removed the insulation.
