Put a cap on it!

I had to take a look, it was a chimney. My ladder wouldn't reach from the front of the house so I dragged it around to back and accessed the roof from the deck. So glad I did. Here is a chimney without a rain cap, spark arrester and most of the cap is gone. Just worn away.
