Now is a good time to take the time to do a few things outside to preserve your home before winter hits. Here is what I have been doing lately. Yesterday I checked the window trim and re caulked any cracks I saw around the window. Today I painted the caulk. I also blew the leaves out of the flower beds and checked to make sure the hoses were disconnected from the hose bibs. I cleaned the gutters about a month ago, so those are probably still ok. Oh, and I mowed again, but shorter this time. The lawn irrigation system was blew out right before last weeks freeze. Winter is coming, get your home ready while you still have some decent weather.
