My wife and I have been contemplating the idea of selling and downsizing for years now. Fortunately all the while we have been gaining equity in our current home. I'm not quite sure yet where I want to relocate, so we haven't pulled the trigger yet. We were thinking possibly the mountains or somewhere rural. So we have our eyes and ears open.

If you don't have a home yet and are still renting, I suggest giving some more thought to purchasing. Yes, the price of homes is expensive. But next year they will be even higher. And as long as the price is going up, you might as well gain some equity. Just my 2 cents.
